Trollryggen is the rigde constituting the Trolltindane mountains along the valley Romsdalen in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. The name Trollryggen means Troll ridge, and Trolltindane Troll peaks. The north face of the ridge is the famous Trollveggen (Troll Wall), the highest vertical cliff in Europe.
Legends tell that trolls live in this ridge; in fact, a legend says that Trolltindane mountains are a bridal procession of trolls turned to stone by the morning light.
